All talks will be held in the Weaver Center in the Institute for the Americas, which is located on the campus of the University of California, San Diego, in La Jolla.

Directions to the Conference (For Those Driving)
To get to the Institute for the Americas from the Interstate 5 Freeway:
1. Exit on Genesee Ave.
2. If Northbound, turn LEFT off ramp, RIGHT if Southbound (West on Genesee).
3. Cross the stoplights at Science Center Dr. and Johns Hopkins Dr.
4. Turn LEFT at the next stoplight on N. Torrey Pines Rd.
5. Drive to Pangea Dr. and turn LEFT (after Salk Institute Rd.), entering the UCSD campus at this point.
6. Turn LEFT at the stopsign on Scholars Dr. and immediately LEFT onto corner parking structure.
7. Walk back to Pangea Drive and turn LEFT, uphill on Thurgood Marshall Lane.
(Note that International Lane is parallel to Scholars Dr. and can alternatively be reached by walking through the Eleanor Roosevelt College facilities.)
8. Turn LEFT on International Lane.
To get to the Institute for the Americas from the La Jolla Shores Hotel:
1. Go southwest on Camino Del Oro toward Avenida De La Playa.
2. Turn LEFT onto Avenida De La Playa.
3. Take the first RIGHT onto Calle De La Plata.
4. Turn LEFT onto Torrey Pines Rd.
5. Turn LEFT to stay on Torrey Pines Rd.
6. Turn LEFT at the stoplight onto N. Torrey Pines Rd.
7. Drive to Pangea Dr. and turn RIGHT, entering the UCSD campus at this point.
8. Turn LEFT at the stopsign on Scholars Dr. and immediately LEFT onto corner parking structure.
9. Walk back to Pangea Drive and turn LEFT, uphill on Thurgood Marshall Lane.

10. Turn LEFT on International Lane.
Parking
Parking on campus Monday through Friday requires a UCSD-issued short-term parking permit. Permits can be purchased at self-service machines located in the front and back (right-hand side) of the Pangea parking structure (street-level) and at the roof level on the corner of Pangea Drive and Scholars Drive. Note that the booths are always unmanned. Full-day permits are $8.00. No fee is required on weekends.

The La Jolla Shores Hotel is twelve miles from San Diego International Airport and three miles away from the UCSD campus. Situated on the beautiful Pacific Ocean, it boasts two restaurants, a heated swimming pool, high-speed internet access, and a tennis and fitness center. Within walking distance are the Museum of Contemporary Art, Seal Beach, La Jolla Cove, and other attractions, like the boutiques and cafes of Prospect Street.

Underground parking is available to hotel guests for a nominal fee.

To get to the hotel from the I-5 South:
1. Exit west on La Jolla Village Drive.
2. Follow to third traffic light and turn LEFT on Torrey Pines Road.
3. Proceed to fifth traffic light and turn RIGHT on La Jolla Shores Drive.
4. Turn LEFT on Avenida De La Playa and RIGHT on Camino Del Oro.
5. The hotel is on the LEFT.
To get to the hotel from the I-5 North:
1. Exit west on La Jolla Parkway.
2. Follow to fourth traffic light and turn RIGHT on La Jolla Shores Drive.
3. Turn LEFT on Avenida De La Playa and right on Camino Del Oro.
4. The hotel is on the LEFT.
